Visionary-Mission
To restore the connection with Christ and the things of Christ while extending neighborly love, kindness, and peace. This means growing in a relationship and not just changing behavior, but way of thinking, while eliminating lack, so He may do the good things He has planned for us so long ago. We strive to accomplish the reinstatement to society for every man, women, and family while building on an irreversible foundation that will reflect integrity, meekness, and honesty. Every individual will be fed spiritually so that they may be free up standing, law-abiding citizens.
Theory
We believe that:
Blessed is the one who loves thy neighbor as thy self. We will devote time and resources to the re-birth of every soul securing knowledge, confidence, and the boldness to reclaim life in Christ.
Objectives
We will demonstrate aptitude for establishing a genuine relationship combined with trust, integrity, and dependability with our community. In achieving our mission, the wholeness of prosperity will be a great success.

~ We will demonstrate aptitude for establishing a genuine relationship combined with trust, integrity, and dependability with our community, in achieving our mission the wholeness of prosperity will be a great success.
~We will form and strengthen partnerships within and beyond our diverse community to achieve our objectives and mission.
~ We will develop and implement learning options to ensure that all individuals with great success are able to demonstrate a hunger for spreading the Gospel, applying financial stability, maintaining employment, and securing a place of residence within the community.

~ We will develop means to recruit, hire, and retain high quality staff and develop a coherent approach for ongoing staff leaning to achieve our objectives and mission.

- Each family and individual will identify and achieve his or her own personal goals consistent with our mission.
- Each family and individual will be required to demonstrate responsibility in every area that demands growth.
- Each family and individual will exceed the essential guidelines, standards, and requirements necessary for success in society.
- No housing program or client service will be initiated nor retained unless:
- It is consistent with our strategic direction
- Guidelines are meet for program placement complete with assessment
- All specifications and requirements for staff training are met annually.
- Benefits at no cost
- Site-based plans will always be consistent with the strategic plan of Chauvin Life Healing Shelter for the Homeless.
- All decisions will be consistent with our mission and theory.
- All individuals impacted by decisions of the facility will have a voice in the formation and implementation of those decisions.

- Formally adopt a definition of trust that everyone in the community will understand.
- Develop a plan containing all guidelines involving community interaction.
- Implement opportunities for all individuals to collaborate on any topic relevant to themselves and their families.
- Review community- wide methods to ensure that they promote open, honest, respectful, culturally sensitive, and status free communication.
- Create a public relations strategy that focuses on establishing community trust.
- Create quarterly meetings and a community activities calendar for individuals and the community.
- Regularly evaluate trust levels within the community based on the agreed upon definition of trust and to make recommendations to the Executive Director and Program Director.

- Create a community space that is a family and individual resource center, which includes ministry outreach and residential housing, emergency shelter, transitional housing, and affordable housing programs.
- Establish a working relationship with other community-based programs in St. Petersburg and Tampa Bay area.
- Establish a program that encourages community service and volunteer involvement at all levels.
- Create a comprehensive system to maximize access to community resources and partnerships.
- Write grants to develop new partnerships; seek funds to sustain, continually access, and enhance programs for poverty-stricken families and individuals.
- Identify and evaluate formal and informal partnerships along with existing community resources that benefit poverty-stricken families and individuals.

As a facility, we will: - Establish Chauvin Life Healing Shelter for the Homeless website; including an e-mail address for each staff member.
- Improve communication between facility and community.
- Establish service- learning programs at all levels.
- Expand learning opportunities for independent living skills.

- Expand service-learning programs to increase family and individual involvement in the community as a opportunity to achieve planed goals.
- Create re-instatement procedures that communicate each family and individuals yearly goals complete with tracking portfolio.
- Implement conference meetings with the Social Worker and/or Case Counselor, and Program Director ensuring that the families and the individual are progressing in a timely fashion.
- Identify and develop goal setting tools and systems to assist Case Counselors and Social Workers in holding all individuals and families accountable for setting and achieving goals.

- Promote Chauvin Life Healing Shelter for the Homeless in order to attract qualified candidates who will accept our offer of employment.
- Implement classified hiring practices based on job descriptions, minimum qualifications, and screening procedures.
- Ensure that experienced, fully qualified personnel are equitably distributed throughout the community.
- Implement staff evaluations and additional skills essential to specific credentialed assignments.
- Implement the evaluation of staff based on employee job descriptions including a list of the skills essential to specific job assignments.
- Implement an organized professional development program for employees.
- Provide incentives that may increase the length of time that employees will stay with Chauvin Life Healing Shelter for the Homeless.

- Develop and implement a comprehensive Maintenance Plan.
- Ensure that fully experienced and qualified maintenance personnel are placed in specific credentialed assignments.
- Ensure that the maintenance of the property meet the state ordnance.
- Secure that all requirements for Fire Emergency Evacuation Plans and Legal Occupancy/Capacity are meet
